You know the drill—you want to lose weight, but you don’t want to eat fewer calories or exercise more, to tell you truth I don’t blame you, and that’s exactly why in a market that has coaches plenty, I teach you how macros work and how they can help you lose weight.
Understanding your calories.
Let’s talk about the kind of fat that makes you hate yourself: back fat, bra bulge, muffin top, and those dreaded belly rolls.
If you’re like me, I can confidently say, without a doubt, this is the type of fat that you have more than enough of, and want to get rid of fast. Importantly though, one thing I do want share is, it’s not just about weight loss—it’s also, about looking good in your clothes and feeling confident in your own skin.
This is where most people fail; they focus on their weight loss goals, but neglect their mindset. They don’t realize that if they don’t work on their mindset, it will be nearly impossible to achieve their weight loss goal.
So how do we do it? The key here is understanding calories. Calories are the amount of energy in food and drink, and the more you eat or drink, the more energy you have. The less you eat or drink, the less energy you have.
Learn about your macros.
Now, as, we switch gears a little, and let’s dig into the good stuff, If you’re new to the fitness industry, you might be wondering: what are macros? Firstly, I don’t mean a macros spreadsheet haha
Macros are short for macronutrients. They’re the calories from fat, carbs and protein. You can learn more about them by heading to Macros 101: What They Are & How to Count Them
Plan ahead.
If you’re trying to lose weight, it’s important to plan ahead. It’s not enough to just make a meal and eat it—you need to take into account the entire week, or maybe even longer.
Planning ahead will allow you to feel less stressed and anxious when faced with unexpected social situations that would otherwise tempt us into making unhealthy food choices.
Staying on track with your diet requires planning ahead. If you’re eating a meal that you’ve also prepared for the entire week (you have a plan in place) it’s less likely you’ll stray from your diet. This is true whether you’re at home or at work, etc…
You can lose weight with macros if you have a plan and stay consistent.
You’ve heard that macros can help with losing fat and gaining muscle, but you’re still confused about what exactly macros are and how they work to help with weight loss. Let us explain everything below!
What are Macros?
Macros, or macronutrients, are the basic building blocks of your diet. These are carbohydrates, protein and fat. They’re found in all foods and contribute calories to your daily intake.
When it comes to weight loss, some people try counting calories while others use a macro calculator that tells them how much of each type of food they should be eating based on their goals and activity level. Either way works—it’s just a matter of preference!
