What’s worse is that yo-yo dieting wreaks havoc on your body and your mind. If you’ve ever tried to diet, you know how frustrating it can be.

When we go on a restrictive diet, we often lose weight quickly at first. But then everything goes downhill. We’re left feeling hungry, tired, and more likely to binge than ever before. But there’s no reason to continue yo-yo dieting!

You can break free from yo-yo dieting if you’re ready to make real changes

You’ve tried everything and nothing works. But you know what? That’s okay. It shows that you’re open to change, and that’s half the battle! The other half is finding your own food freedom–the place where eating healthy foods makes up most of your diet, but not all of it–and sticking with it long enough for those healthy habits to become part of who you are.

Find your “food freedom”

The first step toward food freedom is understanding why we feel guilty about eating certain things in the first place—and then deciding if those feelings are worth keeping around anymore.

Food freedom is a place where you are free from any guilt or shame around eating and enjoy all foods in moderation. You don’t count calories or carbs, yep, this is from a macros coach, I teach my clients food FREEDOM. Which also means being free to do what works for them. Instead of focusing on what not to eat, which can lead to yo-yo dieting (and more stress), focus on how much your better your body feels when it haas food pleasure each bite brings into your life and how that affects your health overall.

Yo-yo dieting is when you lose weight, gain it back, and then lose it again again

Yo-yo dieting is when you lose weight, gain it back, and then lose it again. You can break free from it if you're ready to make real changes.
Macros made easy with this 5 minute intro guide

Yoyo dieting is when you lose weight, gain it back, and then lose it again. It’s a cycle of weight loss and weight gain that can be hard to break. When it comes to yo-yo dieting it often feels like you’re failing at your goals to lose weight and get healthy because you keep gaining the same pounds over and over again.

Conclusion

The best way to break free from yo-yo dieting is to make real changes. That means accepting that it’s a problem, finding your “food freedom” and learning how to eat healthy foods in balance with treats and indulgences. I’m a meal planning reformist because, not too long ago, I’d break out in hives at the thought of eating the same boring food five days in a row (seriously, even the broccoli turned brown from being overcooked). But now that I know how to simplify healthy eating without the stress, I help busy women (who shudder at the "what's for dinner" question every evening) finally make eating healthy easy, enjoyable, and sustainable.
