Ok, so let’s see how this actually works, and how you too can have a balance to macros for weight loss. Let’s meet Jennifer. When Jennifer asked herself waht are macros? She took to booking a macros coaching session with me. The biggest thing that she wanted to learn, was how could she still track macros, and learn how to meal prep when busy. Jennifer was a stickler for fad diets, so when she came to me, she was ready to be done with fad dieting and learn a new way of thinking, and build a healhtier relationship with food.
So, we got to work, and this is what she said.
“I had no idea that understanding macros would be such a game changer for my weight loss journey. And I’m not just talking about ‘oh-my-gosh-I’ve-lost-a-pound’ on the scale, but the bigger picture—my energy now most days are through the roof, After dinner, I’d always crave sweets but felt so guilty if I gave in to teh cravings. Working with Verona I learnt how to eat so I don’t get sugar cravings often, and hello… I’m not starving myself!
I won’t sugarcoat it (no pun intended), the first couple of weeks were rough, like a bad blind date level rough. My brain got stuck on this ‘low carb means weight loss’ kinda thing. Getting my own macros numbers worked out has been the best decision I’v emade since I jumped on the fad diet train and making it stick feels less like pulling teeth and more like, well, a breeze. Cannot thank you enough!”

Too busy to track macros right? Too busy to eat healthy right?
Some of the most common reasons why women feel macro countin is overly complicated, intimidating, and something they can’t possibly work into their busy lives, is because like anything new, it takes time to get used to and track history doesn’t look too promising. I’ll be honest, the beginning might be a little rocky, but when you focus on what your body needs, it gets much easier.
Realising the Impact
For me, when I came away from fad diets and found macros the concept of macros, it literally opened up a whole new world – it was freeing. It wasn’t restrictive or a bunch of impossible rules anymore, but fo rme it was a guideline that I could use for my food choices. The results? Not just losing fat or even inches, for me it was mindset and relationship with food that were literally transformed.
