What’s the best way to lose weight? Should I try macro diet?

APPLE PODCAST | STITCHER | GOOGLE

These are questions that many people ask, especially when they need to lose a few pounds. The answer is not simply “eat less and exercise more,” but rather it depends on who you are and what your goals are.

You shouldn’t go crazy on your macro diet, but it’s good to be able to eat the things you love.

A macro diet doesn't mean you'll be eating flavorless, boring foods.

As a macro dieter, you shouldn’t feel like you can’t enjoy your favorite foods. You just have to do it in moderation. The great thing about making this shift is that it’s so much easier to stay on track with your macros if the food tastes good!

Some people are worried that their meals will become boring or bland once they’re eating according to their macronutrient goals. But really, it’s not about eating bland or boring food—it’s just about eating the right amount of protein, fat and carbs for your body type and goals.

You might think that you’ll never be able to eat pizza again once you start tracking macros, but don’t worry: there are plenty of ways to make sure those cravings don’t sneak up on you!

A macro diet doesn’t mean you’ll be eating flavorless, boring foods.

While a macro diet will require you to change some of your eating habits, you’ll still be able to enjoy many of your favorite foods. You can still eat out at restaurants, as long as they serve protein and vegetables. And most restaurants offer a variety of options that fit within your macros—just ask for modifications or substitutions where necessary.

You can also continue to enjoy meals with family and friends who aren’t on the macro diet plan. Just don’t expect them to understand why you’re only eating half the food on the table! If they’re really adamant about their traditional three-course dinner (and they want you there), consider having dinner before or after with someone else.

I’ll admit it’s not always easy eating out when everyone else is enjoying cakes and ice creams…but if this is something important enough for you then find ways around it! Bring some nuts or trail mix so that if there’s nothing on the menu available for your meal plan then at least give yourself something healthy while everyone else has dessert!

Prepare Your Meals Ahead of Time

One of the key things you can do to stay on track with your macros is to prepare your meals ahead of time.

If you are serious about losing weight, you need to create a meal plan for yourself and stick to it!

You Don’t Have to be on a Strict Macro Diet to Look and Feel Great!

The truth is, you don’t have to be on a strict macro diet in order to look and feel great. The key is simple: eat less than what your body needs, but make sure you get plenty of each macro nutrient. This way, you can enjoy your favorite foods without having to worry about overeating or feeling deprived. By following this formula for success, it doesn’t matter if your goal is weight loss or muscle gain—you’ll reach it faster than ever before!

Conclusion

The most important thing to remember is that macro counting can be really fun and rewarding. As long as you’re willing to put in some effort and maybe experiment with different foods, it’s easy to find a macro diet that works for you!

I’m a meal planning reformist because, not too long ago, I’d break out in hives at the thought of eating the same boring food five days in a row (seriously, even the broccoli turned brown from being overcooked). But now that I know how to simplify healthy eating without the stress, I help busy women (who shudder at the "what's for dinner" question every evening) finally make eating healthy easy, enjoyable, and sustainable.
