You know the drill: You eat clean, cut out the carbs, and track your macros diligently. But despite all your hard work and dedication, the one thing that seems to be immune to change is that dog on the scale right? It’s frustrating when it feels like all your hard work produces zero results, right?

Nothing. It doesn’t get worse than that.

In this episode, we’re going to dig deep into the common reasons why you might not be losing weight even though you’re dilligently tracking your macros to lose weight. We’re going to talk about how to use your own data to figure out where you are and where you need to go from here—without beating yourself up along the way. Grab your coffee (or tea), get your feet up, and dive in!

Now I don’t know about you, but if you’re a 30 something woman who’s tried tracking your macros but you end up overwhelmed and fall into a carb frenzy overload, I get it.

The what I like to call the mismatched macros trap is a pretty common reason why your weight loss can stall, and thus leaving you and your macros a little off.

How Tracking Macros Can Help You In A Weight Loss Plateau

This is one of the reasons why I highly recommend getting a customised macro count where you can – you can grab yours here. Getting custom macros takes things into consideration that other standalone calculators don’t

Hidden Culprits in Your Food Choices

If we’re honest, it’s the hidden culprits in the foods we love that can sabotage your weight loss efforts, hook line and sinker. Am I saying you have to swear off sugar and do the crazy 30 day sugar detox, and on day 31 you’re eating candy like its goign ou tof fashion – of course not.

I am saying, which isnt often spoken about, nor the message that we like to hear, but if you want to keep the weight off, then you’re going to need to look at your food choices and that includes DoorDash Deliveries.

Stress and Emotional Eating

You know how stress can lead to those nervy “I need chocolate or I’ll lose it” occasions? Well, you’re in the right place. We’ll delve into the connection between stress, emotions, and food choices and how they impact your progress. Learn effective stress management techniques, mindfulness practices, and strategies to address emotional eating, allowing you to regain control and progress towards your goals.

Inconsistent Tracking and Lack of Accountability

Consistency is key when it comes tracking macros. We’ll discuss the importance of consistent tracking your macros for weight loss and provide practical tips to make it easier, such as using food diary apps and meal prepping. Additionally, we’ll explore the benefits of accountability, whether through a coach, support group, or journaling, to help you stay motivated and committed.

Plateau and Adaptation

Shifting those extra, yet stubborn pounds can often feel like a LONG uphill struggle

Sometimes it can feel like you’re sat underneath a cloud of discouragement, when you see the mu,ber on that “dreaded” scale that has yet again, refused to budge. I come bearing good news friend, fear not, as there are tried-and-true tactics to hurdle these weight-loss plateaus believe me!

When it comes to losing weight, flabby arms, stubborn belly fat and the like, it isn’t only a numbers game of subtracting calories, thought, you and I, often wish it was right, at least then we’d know 5-3 =2 right?

But if you’ve ever met your body you know its not that easy.

Think of it, little like an intricate dance routine, guiding your body to reimagine its everyday rhythm, yet a transformation that most defintely requires a large dose of patience and consistency. As your body steadily syncs with your refreshed fitness regimen and macro-conscious eating patterns, it might stage a small rebellion – which is often the moment that your body tends to call a weight loss ceasefire.

In our World that simply means your body has become reallly comfortable with the way you’re living whether over eating or what I like to call, living off a “bird food” diet, the scientific term is metabolic adaptation its often easily and quite mistakenly known as “starvation mode”.

Be empowered on your fitness and health journey. A temporary plateau is not the end of the road; it’s a chance for your body to gather strength for the journey ahead. Your body gradually unfolds into an aesthetically pleasing praiseworthy version of itself.

I’m a meal planning reformist because, not too long ago, I’d break out in hives at the thought of eating the same boring food five days in a row (seriously, even the broccoli turned brown from being overcooked).
